Journal of Addiction and Drug Abuse
OSP Journal of Addiction and Drug Abuse is an International Peer-Reviewed Open Access journal launched to evaluate and disseminate knowledge of methods that can be implied to reduce the rates of addiction problems and serious abuse or dependency. The journal publishes research work of scientists engaged in studies in psychoactive substances, at clinicians and all those interested in problems connected with alcohol and drug addiction.
Addiction is the compulsive use of a substance or performance of a behavior that is independent of withdrawal. Addiction can occur in the absence of dependence, and dependence can occur in the absence of addiction, although the two often occur together.
OSP Journal of addiction and drug abuse deals with addictions include genetic, food addiction, electronic device addictions, gambling addiction, sexual addiction and psychiatric, sociologic, addiction, epidemiologic, behavioural and neurogenic addictions. An important distinction between drug addiction and dependence is that drug dependence is a disorder in which cessation of drug use results in an unpleasant state of withdrawal, which can lead to further drug use.
The journal publishes original research, review articles, case reports, short communications, mini review, letter to editor, conference proceedings, opinion articles, editorials etc. on any topic that comes under the journal topic.

Publication Charges
OSP Journal of Addiction and Drug Abuse is organized by Open Scientific Publishers, a self-supporting organization and does not receive funding from any institution/government. Hence, the operation of the Journal is solely financed by the handling fees received from authors and some academic/corporate sponsors. The handling fees are required to meet maintenance of the journal. Authors of articles are required to pay a fair handling fee for processing their articles. However, there are no submission charges. Authors are required to make payment only after their manuscript has been accepted for publication.
